Private Screening Open to SVJFF Supporters (that's all of you!) Screening is Sunday, January 18, 6:30 p.m. at Camera 12 Theater, 201 S. Second Street, San Jose. Short discussion follows this blockbuster film, led by members of the Jewish Partisan Educational Foundation. Based on an extraordinary true story, Defiance is an epic drama of family honor, vengeance and salvation during World War II. The year is 1941 and three brothers, take refuge from the Nazi invaders in the dense Belarussian forest they know so well. Daniel Craig, Liev Schreiber and Jamie Bell star in this epic drama, one of the greatest examples of Jewish resistance during World War II. Many believe this film will be an Oscar® contender. Kat Parra, who performed with her Sephardic Music Experience band at this year's Silicon Valley Jewish Film Festival, is performing in concert to mark both the first night of Chanukah, and the Winter Solstice.

The concert will be at the La Pena Cultural Center in Berkeley, on Sunday, December 21.
