2008 has proven to have a very auspicious start for the new Silicon Valley Jewish
Film Festival. We have offered:
1. More first-run Israeli Films when they are released.
Our new relationships with Cinequest and the Camera Cinemas have helped us deliver three
of this year's Israeli blockbusters: "The Band's Visit,” “Beaufort”,
and “Jellyfish”. They were offered to the community either before or during
the first week of the Bay Area commercial release.
2. More Film Events; it’s more than just a movie.
Whether it's an award-winning Israeli author or special discounted tickets, coming to
an SVJFF film is more than just a great film. We want you to have a reason why you
attend our film events and will be looking for opportunities all year round to present
them when we can.
